The Mid-Market Account Executive role is an exciting opportunity to build profitable relationships with leaders in the space, establishing scalable prospecting strategies, and directly impacting the trajectory of our revenue and business growth. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you’ll sell software solutions primarily into CPGs and Last Mile Providers at the mid-market-level (<$1B annual revenue).

The successful candidate possesses a humble, hungry, motivated, and smart approach to selling that translates to a consultative sales approach. With prior experience in a business development or closing role, they have a proven track record of identifying appropriate decision makers and demonstrating the unique value of the solutions you are selling. In particular, the right fit will be eager for the opportunity to step into a role in which they can be, in equal measures, a trusted advisor, industry expert, and relationship-builder. In fact, they can easily build meaningful relationships with senior leaders that are lasting and trust-based. Often, their peers will describe them as an A-Player with a thirst for action and a hunger for exceeding sales objectives and stretch goals. Ultimately, however, they are serious about their work, but not about themselves. Let’s face it - the way 2021 is going, you kind of need a sense of humor.

About The Roll*: (*Food puns encouraged but not required)

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead through close by initiating, evaluating, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities and building a pipeline of leads throughout the sales cycle.
  • Identify and navigate key decision makers within digital, e-commerce, and data management teams to build Foodspace awareness within organizations.
  • Establish lasting relationships with senior executives (VP/SVP/C-Suite) and key decision-makers through targeted outbound efforts while acting as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
  • Educate customers on the value of Foodspace throughout the sales cycle by taking prospective customers through the unique value proposition and benefits of Foodspace’s solution.
  • Plan and execute appropriately by identifying business plan and strategy, key decision makers, key performance indicators, and budget constraints within each sales cycle.
  • Exceed sales objectives on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Understand each customer’s pain points, objectives, plans, and strategy to remain updated on key issues impacting the customer and/or prospect.
  • Develop and deliver compelling industry-specific value propositions based on ROI cost/benefit analysis by communicating Foodspace capabilities, differentiators, and solutions to clients effectively through various communication means.
  • Lead with a data-driven approach by accurately forecasting revenue and leveraging insights to optimize account and prospecting strategies.
  • Present at high-impact meetings with prospects and existing customers with a focus on positioning Foodspace solutions as a means to help them achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with different members of the success, product, and marketing teams to ensure long-term success for our customers.
  • Monitor industry trends, market activities, and competitive landscape while becoming an expert on product attribution and utilization.
  • Provide value-added recommendations based on customer's business needs and usage patterns.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all key areas including product.
  • Excel as a team player by contributing during team meetings, sharing market and product knowledge, and engaging appropriate internal resources throughout the sales cycle.

Required Ingredients:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 1+ years of Sales experience (does not need to be in a closing role - high-performing Senior SDRs ready for their next challenge are highly encouraged and welcome!).
  • Desire to effectively solve complex real-time problems that are impacting our clients through proven software sales methodology and a keen understanding of Foodspace solution offerings.
  • Desire to become an industry expert in the CPG and/or last mile providers space.
  • Experience creating and managing a pipeline.
  • Track record of high-performance including meeting and/or exceeding quota.
  • Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organization.
  • Consistent track record of identifying and navigating decision makers.
  • Ability to develop senior level relationships quickly and effectively.
  • Effective time management skills including prior success handling multiple simultaneous opportunities across a large book of business.
  • Agility and adaptability in light of rapidly evolving circumstances.
  • Travel may be required.
